General Information

The National Mental Health Association (NMHA) is a voluntary charitable organization that works to change the way America thinks about mental health and mental illnesses. Founded in 1909 by Clifford W. Beers, a former patient in public and private institutions, the Association offers patient and family support services, public information, educational materials, and community outreach programs.
